We were successfully awarded the fixed seating and loose furniture package for Michelin star chef Kenny Atkinson’s first restaurant, House of Tides, on Newcastle’s Quayside.
A total of 35m of fixed seating was manufactured and installed on both floors. With the venue being a listed building, the seating had to be constructed to fit the dramatically uneven walls and floors, without being fixed to the walls.
All the fixed seating was upholstered in Rimini leather with deep buttoned back detail.
Also specified was our Sicily dining chairs – some with an upholstered back and some with just the seat pad upholstered – as well as solid hardwood table tops, stained and polished in wenge.
Two bespoke Chesterfield sofas in the waiting area were also re-upholstered in Crackle leather.
Since opening, we have provided an efficient maintenance service, providing the re-upholstery of damaged seats on the bench seating and dining chairs.
